The mandate of the EDC is to promote St. Thomas and the surrounding area as an attractive location to invest and conduct business. The Corporation does this through a number of means including business retention and expansion programs, external marketing initiatives, and investment attraction. Other services include non-monetary assistance to business, industry, and local institutions, statistical and market data, site selection information, the sale of City and EDC owned land, and industrial promotion and sales.
